Recording Lance’s story was a very personal undertaking for me. While reading his story out loud, I found myself re-living the entire experience of meeting and ultimately rescuing the “devil dog”. 

Trying to be as professional as possible, I nevertheless struggled to keep myself from laughing during some scenes and crying during others. Despite my best efforts, if you listen closely you might hear me getting choked up on occasion.

Since rescuing Lance turned out to be such an emotional experience, who better to relate the story than his rescuer? Unlike a professional recording artist, I didn’t have to force myself to feign interest—or emotion—in my presentation. In this audiobook, you’ll be listening to a narrator who not only talks the talk but walked the walk.
